    The district 0500's Web Site is an online Public Information presence for the Inter-groups we serve. Our desire is to provide accurate information about A.A. and the business of the District; to foster the participation of members, groups and committees in service.

    District Committee Member

    The district committee member (D.C.M.) is an essential link between the group General Service Representative (G.S.R.s) and the area delegate to the General Service Conference. As leader of the district committee, made up of all G.S.R.s in the district, the D.C.M. is exposed to the group conscience of that district.

    The A.A. Big Book

    The Big Book was written in 1935 by Bill W. and  the first recovered alcoholics. At the time the book was written A.A. was a small group of individuals who were finding a new way of life. Some of them were sober for only a few months and had no real income but they had a driving force that propelled A.A. into a international organization that has changed many live's over the years since.

    The 12 & 12 

    The 12 steps and 12 traditions work book also known as the 12 & 12, breaks down each step and tradition into understandable terms.  Each chapter, each  paragraph has been written to assist a alcoholic understand how important each step & tradition is.

    Volunteers Needed!

    Become a volunteer for District 500's Bridging the Gap: Needed  A.A. members and groups who are interested in carrying our message of recovery to alcoholics leaving treatment facilities by serving in this Temporary Contact Program, which by design helps the alcoholic make a transition from a alcoholism treatment program back into the community.
